Formidable Alchemy Q&A
1. Where do I find the bulk of the info on Formidable Alchemy?
A. Don't miss the landing page for it - right here!
2. How do I register?
A. Click on the buy now button on the Formidable Alchemy homepage linked above. Once you've paid, I'll add your email to my list and contact you to confirm.
3. Can I register for just one season of Formidable Alchemy? Like just for winter?
A. No, at this time Formidable Alchemy is an annual program with each session building sequentially. If you're looking for individual coaching or herbal consultations, check out the Herbalism tab. You can also sign up individually for seasonal herbal sessions.
4. Is Formidable Alchemy health coaching?
A. It's much more! It includes health coaching but also includes an 11 month online workshop experience PLUS four seasonal herbal sessions that will allow you to learn about and use about 30 herbs and various herbal techniques for yourself and your family. In addition you'll get a four week nature connection course in the summer that builds on the foundation of my degree in ecopsychology and extensive research into the mind/body health benefits of being connected to the natural world. PLUS, don't forget you'll get a full health evaluation after filling out a detailed intake form - looking at everything from basics of healthcare, to diet and exercise, sleep and stress, relationships, your connection with nature, and more. Finally, Formidable Alchemy has a strong emphasis on social justice - on transforming you so you can bring your magic to transform your world! Formidable Alchemy is not your average coaching program - it's a whole-life transformative journey based on my background in psychology, the arts, ecotherapy, herbalism, mindfulness, nature-work, theology and spirituality, and more.
5. How much time do I need for this program?
A. That depends on a number of factors, but I'll try to give you a general idea. You should expect enough time to work on eating well and exercising. That could mean cooking elaborate meals and going to the gym - or it could mean learning super quick but healthy meals and walking sometimes on your daily lunch hour. So that factor is quite variable depending on your needs. You'll also need maybe 2-4 hours weekly to work through all of the information, ideas, journal prompts and/or art prompts and to take part in the 30 minute coaching call. This should be enough time to do the herbal work as well, so maybe less time when there's not a 4 week herbal session happening. It's really all up to YOU and how much time you choose to invest in it. If you read through info and self-contemplate quickly, then count on less time. If you like to have time to really sit with ideas and mull them over, to take things slowly, then count on more time. For the herbal work, you'll get some longer documents of herbal info to read through and a few recipes to make weekly. If you make all of the recipes it might take an hour of hand's on time. If you make fewer, then less time. You'll be making everything from teas to bath salts to salves to tinctures (alcohol free options always included) in those weeks.
6. Are there scholarships available for this program?
A. Not at this time. I'm working on offering them in various programs though, so keep an eye out in the future!
7. Is it ok if I'm vegetarian or Paleo or atheist or Christian?
A. Of course! This is not about me telling you what's right for you. It's about you determining your own individual needs to THRIVE and honoring them! However, if you don't embrace a lifestyle of more-than-one-right-way, you might find some of the information and ideas offensive. I definitely believe in holding space for each person's journey. Neither I, nor Formidable Alchemy, nor Nature's Healing discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender status, age, size, ability, or other beliefs. Such discrimination will not be tolerated in any of my workshops either.
8. Is there an age range for this workshop?
A. Nope! Your age is the perfect age my dear! I'll be working with YOU and your needs, so you can be 18 or 108 and it's all good!
9. Will I get a break or chances to catch up?
A. Yes, each month is designed with 3 intensive weeks and a 4th week that is a bit slower offering a chance to go deeper or a chance to catch up.
10. Have another question not answered here, on the landing page, or in the seasonal pages?
A. Please email me at [email protected] (This is not a live link, you'll need to copy/paste the address into your email.)
